So when booking please be sure to read our policies carefully.
The Stamford Motel & restaurant allows pets to visit. We believe that it is a privilege for us to allow your pet to join you while staying at the Stamford Motel. Our pet policy is strictly enforced. Well behaved pets are welcomed. Our pet policies reflect our respect for your pet, as well as, the other guests staying at the motel. We can ask that loud, messy or bad dogs be removed from the property without notice or refund.
Pets are only allowed in a few rooms, please make arrangements ahead of your arrival to make sure you are placed in a suitable room.
If you do not inform us prior to your arrival you will be charged $100 additional for your stay. As previously stated only certain rooms are designated dog rooms and thus more cleaning goes into a room that a dog has stayed which is not a desiganted dog room.
If you arrive and have not told us that you were bringing a pet - you maybe asked to leave depending upon availability. You will also have to pay for the room in full.
If damage occurs from your pet being left alone in the room you are responsible.
If a dog pees on the carpet $300 if we are not able to remove the stain $1000 (we will need to replace the carpet)
The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel after reservation has been booked. The total price will be charged if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival. During the peak season and horse show it is a 21 day prior to arrival.
The guest will be charged a prepayment of 50% of the total price after reservation and the remaining amount in the 14 days before arrival.
WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge.
Children and Extra Bed Policy
All children are welcome.
Up to two children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing beds.
Any additional older children or adults are charged USD 20 per person per night when using existing beds.
One older child or adult is charged USD 20 per night in an extra bed.
The maximum number of extra beds in a room is 1.
Free public parking is available on site (reservation for parking is not needed).
No special conditions apply for groups. $50.00 cancellation fee for all cancellations prior to 14 days before arrival. 100% if you cancel 14 days before arrival.
Questions about the property that you might ask . . .
Q) Can we check-in before/after 4pm?
Before – We cannot promise you a room before check-in, but we will happily let you drop luggage off and leave it in the restaurant closet if needed. After – Of course! Please call ahead if you will be arriving after 9pm we will run your credit card and leave your key out for your arrival.
Q) How does the deposit work?
A) We have a 2 to 3 week prior to arrival cancellation. If you cancel within the 2 or 3 weeks your card will be charged in full. If you cancel before 2 to 3 weeks you will be charged 50% for the cancellation of the reservation. If you incur and damages in the room your deposit will be charged for the cost of the damages.
Q) Can I have guests over?
A) Guests are welcome to visit anytime during the day. However, please let us know beforehand if you intend to have overnight guests. For safety reasons, we’d like a full name and will snap an image of their ID. All rooms are based on double occupancy in order to offer the most affordable rate for our guests. You will incur an expense for additional guests. We do apologize in advance but extra towels, toilet paper, etc…. it all costs extra money.
Q) Does the room have its own bathroom?
A) It is a traditional motel - all rooms have private bathrooms.
Q) Can we send mail to the motel?
A)Mail at your own risk. We can’t guarantee they will be received on delivery. If no one is home, some companies drop the boxes and we do not guarantee receipt. Other companies will try again another day. It is your choice if you should ship the package.
Q) Can I have a refund if I cancel last minute?
A) Please don't request a full or partial refund if you have to cancel last minute, no matter how small. There is no exception to this rule. We don’t know if your grandma is actually dead or not, and the rent has to be paid regardless of if you missed your flight or if it is raining and you wanted to hike or ski. It isn’t fair to reward the person who is the most angry and manipulative a refund when the policy is fairly clear upfront. The rooms are difficult to rebook last minute, and we don't want to have to feel like bad people by denying it. Please be familiar with the cancellation policy for the room you are booking. If you want a more flexible situation please book some place else. There are a few places in town which have more flexible refund policies, but do not message us the day before asking for a refund because we will not be able to help you out.
